On Sunday, September 29th, Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season kicked off with some great 1:00 games, followed by a scurry of 4:00 games, and wrapped up with SNF blowout and two good Monday night games. by Drew Caraway and Sean Clift ![]() Jayden Daniels Keeps Commanders Rolling Jayden Daniels was the second quarterback to be taken in the 2024 draft, and this decision has not disappointed the Commanders thus far. Daniels is currently outperforming the #1 pick, Caleb Williams. Both had high expectations, but Williams had exceptionally more “hype” around him. Daniels led the Commanders to a 42-14 win over the struggling Cardinals in State Farm Stadium. He threw for 233 yards on 26/30 completions/attempts (86% accuracy) with a touchdown and an interception. He tacked on to his great passing day with 47 yards on 8 attempts with one touchdown in the run game. Jacob Rowe talks about Daniels's performance so far. “You know, I wasn’t so sure because I know he takes a lot of big hits, but he is performing like [the] Rookie of the Year.” ![]() Younghoe Koo Drills 58-Yarder for the Win The Falcons and Saints matched up for the 111th time on Sunday. The series was tied at 55-55 and both teams wanted to win, due to pure hatred for each other. The game started with a three-and-out for the Dirty Birds, who were wearing their throwback uniforms, introduced in the 2022 season. The Falcons punter, Bradley Pinion, sent a boom of a punt. Fortunately for the Falcons, the Saints muffed the punt and the Falcons scored on the play, taking a 7-0 lead. From then on, the game went back and forth and was very chippy the whole game. The game came down to the final six minutes. The Saints went for it on 4th and goal with four minutes left and the Falcon's defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs. The Falcon's drive didn’t last long, as the Saints forced a punt in 29 game time seconds, getting the ball back with 3:28 left to play. The Saints drove down the field and scored with exactly one minute left, but that was too much time for “Kirko Chains” and the Falcons offense. Cousins led the team down the field and set up Younghoe Koo for a 58-yard field goal, which would be the longest of his career, and yet another game-winning field goal. Koo nailed it for the Falcons win, 26-24, and took the all-time series lead at 56-55. Jayden Barwick, 11, described Koo as, “...the greatest of all time, and can’t be beaten.” Both interviewees declined to comment on Kyle Pitts’ performance. ![]() “King Henry” Runs All Over the Bills Even though this game was in Ravens territory, the Bills were projected to win, since they were 3-0. The Ravens went into the SNF game and Derrick Henry went to work immediately, with an 87-yard touchdown run on the Raven’s first play. As the match progressed Lamar Jackson and Henry dominated the running game while Justice Hill caught a few to solidify another touchdown. The Ravens won in a 35-10 blowout in Baltimore. The Ravens are now 2-2 and proved they are still a fierce competitor in the NFL, even after a couple of rocky games. They will go into next week and play the Bengals, who are currently 1-3. This week, the NFL led to major injuries and big-hitting games. There have already been major changes to big teams such as the Chiefs losing their WR1 and RB1. Thursday night the Falcons take on the Buccaneers in Atlanta, kicking off week five with a bang. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
