This night was also a special one for the Warriors because it was senior night. by Kweku Assan and AJ Diaz ![]() Lily Ginn, Senior Lily has always had others to look up to, but now she is the one that her teammates have to look at. She knows that as the only senior, she has to be the leader. She has been eager for this night, “I've been waiting for this day for 4 years now.” To her, this night is one she will remember for the rest of her life. She continues, “It's strange being the only senior. Sometimes it's a little disheartening because I can't do as much as the previous seniors did.” She also understands she has to be a leader and loves to help her teammates, however, she says, “... being the only senior, it's nice to see the impact that I've had on these kids.” Overall, she has done a fabulous job by helping the team win the majority of their games. She deserves this night. She has worked hard, and now she can have everyone celebrate what she has done on the team. Our ladies dominated the majority of the games and blew out Social Circle in the first two sets. Social Circle did well to compete with the Warriors, but they could not withstand the pressure. We came into the game with full confidence expecting to leave with a win. Georgia Roberts, a freshman, said, “I think we will do very well, and I am very excited because it's senior night and we get to celebrate our seniors... I don't think there will be more pressure; it will just make us more excited and more motivated to win.” WG vs. Scholars Guild The Warriors also played Scholars Guild Academy the same night and also won 2-0. These games gave the team the confidence that they needed and helped their region placement. Lily Ginn said, “I think the team is ready for tonight both on the physical and mental aspect.” Lily Ginn showed off on her night helping the team with both of their wins.
