Grant Donaldson, a student from Walnut Grove High School, excitedly shares his very unique everyday routine!

Early Mornings to Afternoon Duties Grant, a freshman who attends WGHS, believes he has a very chaotic but enjoyable schedule. For him, the alarm sounds very early in the morning, signaling the start of a highly disciplined morning routine. Instead of hitting the snooze button, he gets up and starts his day. "I usually get showered, get some breakfast. All that good stuff.” Grant then follows his shower with his day-to-day breakfast, usually a breakfast burrito. Shifting to the afternoon tasks, commonly on the weekends, "I usually start with mowing the lawn, cutting the bushes, all that," which is how he typically starts his postmeridian chores.

The Battle of the Clock Morning tasks take the crown for Grant as he starts his busy day. For him, the best part of the day wraps up just as some students are waking up. He explains that he enjoys the morning time because it is cooler outside and he can get his work done a lot quicker, which may be a shocker to most people! It's clear to see that he is definitely a morning person!

Unwinding After Hours As the relentless momentum of the day finally slows, the evening offers a welcome shift into stillness. With tomorrow's to-do list set aside, peace and quiet finally settle in Grant's room. After a long day at school, away from the loud talking and crowds, there is finally space to breathe. At the end of the day, he finds peace in reading a book: “I usually read a book, usually the Bible.” It helps him calm down and prepare his mind to rest as he gets ready to repeat the cycle the next day.

Ultimately, Grant’s life outside the classroom proves that being a proud Warrior is about far more than just notebooks and exams. By balancing his personal passions and responsibilities, he demonstrates the true spirit of the school community.
