Two juniors at WGHS give their opinion on the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - Infinity Castle, released on September 12th.

Saige Cole shares her thoughts on her favorite character, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and his journey of growth, “His overall development throughout the show, from being anxious to diving straight into fighting an Upper Moon Demon with no hesitation, is inspiring, showing that you can develop as a person regardless of who you are.” Similarly, her favorite scene is the perfect depiction of how far he’s come. “My favorite moment was when Zenitsu passed out and woke up in a field of Red Spider Lilies with a river running between his field and another one just like it on the other side, where his Gramps stood. Stopping Zenitsu from crossing the river (symbolic for dying), he tells him that he is his pride and joy. This scene was so touching, reassuring Zenitsu that he hadn't done anything wrong and had tried his best with what he had.”

“I absolutely loved how this movie played out,” Saige continues, commenting on the movie’s production quality. “The voice acting and visuals were stunning, and the way the movie flowed was exhilarating, each scene more beautiful than the next and filled with hooking stories. The animations have definitely made a huge improvement since the first season, with very intricate colors and designs, making every little thing count and blending it perfectly with its surroundings.”

Saige concludes by making note of how far the series has come since its first season in 2019, “I expect even more improvement, beautiful artworks, and storywork for this series, as it has already come so far. Each season feels more advanced than the next, and these movies are no exception. Demon Slayer has always held a heavy spot in my heart and has never failed to amaze me. I honestly rate this movie a glazing 1000/10.”

De-lylah Robinson’s favorite character happens to be Zenitsu, while her favorite moment had to be “when Akaza decided to sacrifice himself and die.” Overall, she “really enjoyed it, but the pacing could have been shortened.” When it comes to the future of the Demon Slayer franchise, “I expect the rest of the series to be amazing.” In the end, she gave the movie an incredible 9.75/10.

Although there is no official release date for the second Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie, there have been some speculations that part two may arrive in 2027. Are you up for the wait?
