WGHS students are sharing their opinions on Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, which was released on February 26th. The excitement and debate over the newest episodes spread throughout Walnut Grove.
Dearest gentle reader, now that Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 has finally graced our screens, WGHS is buzzing with its opinions on the show. Fans shared what they thought of the long-awaited season. Despite the differing opinions, most fans were more than excited to see how Benedict and Sophie's season played out on screen. With part one already released, fans were left on a cliffhanger for the second part, eager to see how Benedict's love trope with the “Lady in Silver” lived up to the hype it was getting. The romance between characters Sophie Baek and Benedict Bridgerton left some fans divided with varying opinions on the newest part. Some fans thought that the retelling of the Cinderella story was the best for the show. “I thought their ending was perfect,” says Paisley Carter (10). “They were the cutest couple… I loved the Bridgerton take on it.” Lily Schwab (12) agreed, explaining that the romance between a nobleman and a maid added depth to the story. “I love the fact that Benedict ended up with someone of different rank than himself.” However, other fans were not as enthusiastic about the Cinderella storyline. Scott Corcoran (12) found that the classic storytelling gave no suspense. “The ending felt really predictable—I already knew how it was going to end. I would've made it less predictable or added another problem for them to face.” When it comes to the most enjoyable moments in the show, the “ball at the end” was a favorite for Paisley. She noted that seeing Sophie finally accepted into society was a moving scene for her. Lily Schwab (12) added that the best moment for her was the “dance recital with Hyacinth and her friends.” She described it as having a fun “middle school dance” vibe. Bridgerton would not be what it is today without its amazing soundtrack. It features songs like Charli XCX’s “360,” which was a favorite of Lily Schwab’s. Paisley Carter mentioned “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron was a big hit for her. Opinions differed with Scott, as he mentioned he preferred the Taylor Swift covers in part one of the recent season. While the main romance story was the biggest focus, many fans shared that they also enjoyed the smaller moments. The friendship between Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury was a fan favorite. “I really loved the Queen’s story—I think they are the best duo in the show,” Paisley explained. Scott added that he specifically enjoyed the side story between Violet Bridgerton and Lord Anderson. Whether fans loved the romance or wished for more surprises, Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 certainly gave viewers plenty to discuss. From memorable moments to a standout soundtrack, the season continues to keep audiences invested in the drama and romance of the Bridgerton world.
