From roots to ends: Flourish Salon

The idea for Flourish Salon was created by Ally Deweese, who graduated from the Aveda Institute and received her master's degree in cosmetology. The inspiration behind it all was, in Ally's words,  “I started with no clients, and I know firsthand how hard and lonely that can feel. Over time, I was able to grow into a fully booked stylist, and that transformation showed me that with the right support and mindset, it's possible.”

A longtime client she’d been working with for over 6 years gave Ally the encouraging push she needed. “...before I ever opened my salon, [my client] told me that I reminded her of her husband, who happened to be a very, very successful businessman... That moment stuck with me, because it was the first time I realized that someone saw those same qualities in me: drive, vision, and the ability to build something bigger. That conversation gave me the confidence to finally take the leap and open my own salon.”

What truly sets Flourish apart is the palpable sense of community and environment created among staff. Ally wanted to have a space where other stylists could have a salon culture built on positivity, growth, and teamwork. Allowing staff to grow together, share ideas, and push one another to reach new levels. Hayley Knight, once a student here at Walnut Grove High School, has been an apprentice at Flourish salon for almost 2 years now. When Hayley got the opportunity to work at the salon, she was beyond excited. Her favorite part about contributing to Flourish is, “...getting to see my progress in repeat clients and people that trust me.” She continues, “The most rewarding part is making girls feel like themselves and enhancing their confidence.” 

Flourish Salon is not only a place for great hair, but a community built on dreams and dedication. Ally Deweese‘s vision, combined with such talented stylists, creates a welcoming space for clients and staff to truly flourish.
