Walnut Grove freshmen describe their new experiences now that they are in high school. They go into detail about their new school year.

Parker Wheeler:
Q: How are you balancing your new schedule and class work now that you are in High School?
A: "I work efficiently with my time, and I work things a lot faster, so I don’t have to do it at home. My brain is quicker.’’

Q: What are some things that are different in High School from Middle School?
A: ‘’The block schedule is a lot longer and gives me a lot more time to do my work.’’

Q: What is a new goal this year now that you are in HS?
A: “My goal is to pass all my classes.”

Q: What do you do in your free time now that you are in HS?
A: “I usually go outside and adventure/explore.”

Q: Are there any clubs or sports you are thinking about joining that are not in middle school?
A: “I am in football. I think I'm going to join the track team when the season comes around.”

A: “I'm really just trying to keep my GPA up and working harder in my grades. I also manage school sports.”

A: “I play with my dogs, sit down, and I also watch a movie”

A: “It's a lot more relaxed and it's a lot easier. It's pretty good.”

Q:  What are some things that are different from HS from MS?
A: “We have more freedom in high school.”

A: “The work is a lot easier.”

Q: What are some of the highs and lows of HS?
A: “I think some pros are you get to meet some new people, and you also get to grow as a person. Some cons are that it's a lot more work.”

A: “More of the academic classes we get to learn more things.”

Q: What is a new goal this year now that you are in HS?
A: ”I'm trying to get a good GPA this year to start off strong.”
