Sanai Coleman is especially excited about what she is doing after high school. “I'm most excited about traveling abroad after high school because I've always wanted to travel for my career path,” she said. Sanai plans to go into business and administration. Sanai said, “My path is business and administration. I chose to take it because I wanted to learn more about the business world and do real estate.”

Sanai also mentions how being involved in clubs at WGHS has played a big part in preparing her. “Being involved in clubs helped me shape what I do after high school because it helped me learn teamwork skills and punctuality and just doing everything I can to help aid in my path.” Through her activities, she has learned responsibility and how to work well with others that will help her in her future career.

Danica Lea is also looking forward to her future, but for her, she is most excited to grow and have new experiences. "I'm most excited about starting the next chapter of my life, meeting new people, seeing the world, and just moving on from high school,” she shared. Danica wants to continue her education and build a strong foundation for her future. “I think just wanting to better educate myself for my career down the road and just starting a foundation for my life,” Danica explained.

Sports have had a big impact on Danica’s high school experience. “Being involved in sport, being around people, working together, and having such an amazing [group of] people around me at all times just made me want to be around people as I'm older and just have a great group,” she said. Through sports, like soccer and flag football, she has learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and support.

Both WGHS students show that getting involved in high school activities, like clubs or sports, can truly shape your future and help make connections that you didn't know could be made.
