Recently, Shannon Hayes was announced as the senior class president for the 2024-2025 school year. She shares her ideas for the senior class and how honored she is to be the leader of her grade.

Q: What made you want to run for senior class president?
A: I had a lot of ideas this year and wanted this year to be the best senior year yet. The only way I could do that effectively is by being president. Q: How did your family and friends support you through this process? A: My mom helped me make my campaign materials, my dad wanted me to win, and my friends also [reposted her campaign ads]. Q: What were the criteria for you to become a senior class president? A: They checked my grades, tardies, referrals, teacher recommendations, etc. Q: What have you done so far to uplift the seniors? A: We’ve started planning several events still in the works… For example, a senior sunrise, bonfire, and sunset. Q: How have the seniors responded to you becoming the senior class president? A: They told me congratulations. Q: What is your main goal as the president of the senior class? A: To make this year so awesome and cool!
