Macie Norton Warrior of the Month - January 2024

Junior Macie Norton received Warrior student of the month for all of her hard work and always being on time and doing what is right for her and her peers.

Macie Norton is a Junior at Walnut Grove High School. This month she has received “Warrior of the month”. Macie is an excellent student; she is respectful to everyone; and she is excelling in her classes as a student in the marketing program and handling a part-time job. 

Macie states, “Being Warrior of the Month felt great. I was very honored to be chosen out of all the students at Walnut Grove High School.” She goes on and explains some steps about receiving the honor, “Being involved as a Marketing Intern and helping to coordinate our PBIS events and plans with Coach Williams helped me to stand out.” 

Macie mentions some advice for other students, “Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed, so keep doing the right thing even when it is hard... I wasn't expecting it at all. When I first saw it, it was from my friends who were sending me a photo of my face on the wall.” She was really surprised when she found out she received warrior of the month. She mentions, “I think everything I have worked for has taught me hard work, time management, and most importantly patience. These skills will help me with finishing high school, and help with my future career.”

As a result Macie has some great things going for herself in the future, and she is starting on a great path in her career and still maintaining school.
