Moringa is a new Thai restaurant in Monroe, Georgia. The building it’s located in has housed (and closed) three other restaurants: Butcher’s Block, Nedza’s, and Sweet Berry Bowls. by Cheyenne Seagraves When you walk in, the atmosphere is lively and inviting. The decor is very cute and the staff are friendly, attentive, caring and helpful. When I walked in, they let me know immediately I could sit anywhere, so I wasn’t left standing and looking around lost. When looking at the “Beverages” section on the menu, I chose to order the Minute Maid Pineapple juice, and when my waiter brought it out I thought it was weird he brought an empty cup with ice and a bottle of the pineapple juice. He also brought an extra cup of water. The appetizer I decided on was a spring roll that was also served with sweet and sour sauce, which was delicious. When it came time to order my meal, I chose the spicy ramen soup. It had chicken, a poached egg, carrots, etc. The noodles were good and the dish wasn’t too spicy. I loved the flavor, but I didn’t like the fried chicken on top. The breading from the chicken became soggy from the soup and it was unappetizing. The chicken, along with the bottle of minute maid being brought to me are the only negative critiques I have about this restaurant. The portions were sufficient and the pricing wasn’t too bad either. The sushi is the most expensive thing on the menu. The waiting time for the food wasn’t too long, and I appreciated how the servers communicated with me about my meal. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and will be going again. I recommend this place because of the atmosphere, and how caring and kind the staff were, as well as the quality of the food. I rate this restaurant a 8/10. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
