Riley Bramblett takes us on her journey with God as a Christian and an athlete at Walnut Grove High School.
by Ty Cameron and Drew Caraway
Riley started following Christ after being encouraged by her great grandmother at a younger age.

Introducing others to Christ can help lots of people who feel mentally or physically down. Riley would go about introducing someone to Christianity by saying, “I would introduce them to church and go with them”.

She likes to help when she can, so she gave two or three tips to new Christians. “[You should] try not to think about the bad things, God should be your main focus, and try to go to church as much as you can.”

The Start of Riley’s Volleyball Career
Riley is currently in 11th grade and plays for the Girls Varsity Volleyball team. She started playing volleyball when she was “four or five years old.” She got into the sport thanks to her mother and father.

She started playing volleyball for Walnut Grove in her freshman year, and made it to varsity her sophomore year. She wears #19 and plays middle and outside hitter (MaxPreps).

Riley loves playing volleyball, especially with her teammates at Walnut Grove and when she plays Club volleyball in the offseason. She says, “I like how [volleyball] creates a family.”

In her time at Walnut Grove as a varsity player, she has accumulated a 52-33 record, going 31-11 in 2023. The historic 2023 season set the tone for the 2024 season as a hard one to follow up that sort of success. Only the 2015-2016 season was a better season than this, going 33-11 (MaxPreps).
