Q&A: Warrior Day 2025!

This week here at WGHS our school held a fun day for the juniors and seniors to enjoy the last few weeks of the 2024-2025 school year.

Before Warrior Day: 
Cameron Selman (12): 

Q: Are you attending warrior day this year and what are you expecting for warrior day?
A: “I'm expecting the same kind of stuff as they had last year.”

Q: Are you excited about Warrior Day tomorrow?
A: “Yes, I am excited for Warrior Day.”

Q: How do you plan to prepare for Warrior Day?
A: “I don't really need to prepare for Warrior Day.”

Q: What is your strategy for staying energized throughout the day?
A: “I can stay energized throughout the day without really doing anything.”

Q: Do you have a part of the day you are looking forward to? 
A: “I am looking forward to the donut on the string.”

Q: Are you attending Warrior Day this year and what are you expecting?
A: “Yes! Just to have fun.”

Q: Are you excited about Warrior Day tomorrow? If so, explain.
A: “Yes it will be so fun to be outside instead of in school.”

Q: How do you plan to prepare for Warrior Day?
A: “Get a good night's sleep.”

Q: What is your strategy for staying energized throughout the day?
A: “To be well rested.”

Q: Do you have a part of the day you are looking forward to? 
A: “I look forward to eating the food.”

A: “I feel like it was good, I liked last year a little better.”

Q: In 3-5 words explain how Warrior Day was?
A: “Fun, they try and make it more serious, instead of us having a little more fun, and different.”

Q: In your own words explain what Warrior Day is?
A: “To me Warrior Day is like a way of letting us be kids again.”

Q: What did you do during Warrior Day?
A: “We played games with our advisement classes.”

Q: What would you tell other people about Warrior Day to the upcoming juniors/seniors that want to attend?
A: “I would say just go have fun because soon you have to be an adult because people say adulting is very hard.”

After Warrior Day:

Q: How do you feel about Warrior Day this year?
A: “It was so fun.”

Q: In 3-5 words explain how Warrior Day was?
A: “It was very fun.”

Q: In your own words explain what Warrior Day is?
A: “It's like a field day but for high school.”

Q: What did you do during Warrior Day?
A: “We did the stations that they had set up, ate some food, and sprayed myself with a water hose.”

Q: What would you tell other people about Warrior Day to the upcoming juniors/seniors that want to attend?
A: “Bring sunscreen because it's really hot.”

Before Warrior Day: 
​Sydney Gittens  (11): 
Q: Are you attending Warrior Day this year and what are you expecting?
A: “I am attending Warrior Day and I'm expecting a lot of fun for all the people that are now juniors to be able to do it since they've been wanting to do it since freshman year. So yeah it will be fun.”

Q: Are you excited about Warrior Day tomorrow? If so, explain.
A: “I'm very excited to see everybody to get out there and have fun. We have been wanting to do this since freshman year, so seeing what all the upperclassmen have been able to do, and finally be a part of that will be nice. ”

Q: How do you plan to prepare for Warrior Day?
A: “I plan to make sure I have everything I need. Maybe have a pair of shorts and a shirt color that we chose as a class, the right shoes on, and a good breakfast.”

Q: What is your strategy for staying energized throughout the day?
A: “Drinking a lot of water and making sure I hangout with people who keep me energized.”

Q: Do you have a part of the day you are looking forward to? 
A: “I am definitely looking forward to lunch because we are having Chick Fil A.”

After Warrior Day: 
​Sydney Gittens (11): 
Q: How do you feel about warrior day this year?
A: “I feel like Warrior Day was a success for everybody who showed up... he juniors really got to experience what the seniors got to do last year, and I feel like everybody had a good time. ”

Q: In 3-5 words explain how Warrior Day was?
A: “Warrior Day was different from what we experienced before in middle school. That was really  the last time to have a field day. So it was a chance to have fun and forget about finals and stuff.”

Q: In your own words explain what Warrior Day is?
A: “Warrior Day is a way for everybody to have fun, it is definitely an experience you want to take out of high school.”

Q: What did you do during Warrior Day?
A: “We did a lot of stations with our advisement, we had popsicles, Chick-fil-a lunch, and tug or war. ”

Q: What would you tell other people about Warrior Day to the upcoming juniors/seniors that want to attend?
A: “I would tell them to just have fun and wear sunscreen and any extra water because it's most likely going to be hot.”
​As a result, the juniors and seniors had an outstanding time for the 2025 Warrior Day.
