Gavin White is a senior leader on the Walnut Grove Wrestling Team. by Sean Clift and Jack Peterson Gavin White is a senior leader on the Walnut Grove Wrestling Team. Gavin has been wrestling since 6th grade, and it has changed his life. Gavin recalls his dad getting him into wrestling, telling him, “My friend is a wrestling coach. You should try it out.” Gavin says, “I have been wrestling ever since.” The experiences and memories he has made have created a lifetime bond with his fellow teammates.
When asked about what he plans to do differently this last season, Gavin responded, “This year, I plan to focus on hand fighting and the motion and winning. I want to win more.” Gavin’s favorite memory of wrestling actually came during a period he wasn’t wrestling, but rather when the wrestling team made it to state his sophomore year. “That was really cool. Hanging out with and watching my friends compete at a high level was awesome.” Gavin has had a terrific high school wrestling career so far, going 22-19. (via FloWrestling) He is excited to get back to wrestling for his final year as the Warriors look to make another resilient push for state. The future is bright for this Walnut Grove Wrestling leader. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
