November 14th, 2025 Summer Walker’s new album, Finally Over It, opens like a diary she’s finally ready to share. Entertainment Staff DaNija Thomas will be giving her thoughts and opinions on the new album. by DaNija Thomas The Summer Walker Album was truly a good album and honestly enjoyable. One thing that can be mentioned is that her albums aren’t bad and they are always good. Every song that played definitely had different rhythms and deeply that made it listenable. The album wasn’t bad and genuinely none of Summer Walker’s albums are ever bad.
In this album, Summer Walker was expressing herself doing something she loves the most. Throughout her albums that she has written in the past, you can see that Summer made a lot of self-growth when it came to writing these songs. This album closes a long-running narrative for Summer Walker: moving from being “Over It” to “Still Over It” to "Finally Over It”. In the past, you can tell the songs that she wrote before were about her heartbreaks that she has experienced. Even though this album is still talking about the heartbreaks, truly this one is more about loving yourself and putting yourself first. In the end, Finally Over It doesn’t just close out a trilogy, it marks a turning point in Summer Walker’s evolution as an artist and as a woman. It’s the sound of someone who has survived the hardest parts of love, learned her lessons, and stepped into a new chapter with clarity and confidence. Whether listeners miss the rawness of her earlier work or embrace her polished maturity, this album stands as a statement of growth, healing, and hard-earned peace. Summer Walker may be “finally over it,” but the impact of this project is just getting started. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
