Super Bowl 60 was played on February 8th 2026 in Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
by Justin Andrio
In the first quarter, we expected some heavy defense, and heavy defense is what we got. Except for the Seahawks' first drive, where they took the Pats defense down the field, they were held to only a field goal, starting off the scoring 3-0. On the other hand, the Patriots didn't have luck on their side, going eight plays for 28 yards and eventually punting off to the Hawks. From then on, it was back and forth defensively, punting four more times until we exited the first and entered the second quarter.
At the start of the second, we saw the Seahawks yet again go eight plays for 55 yards, scoring another field goal (6-0). Just like the first quarter, we saw three punts in a span of eight minutes. We then saw the Seahawks start to pull away, kicking another field goal just before halftime, making this game 9-0 at the half. After halftime, we got a mix of the previous quarter's punting and another field goal by the Seahawks (12-0). But towards the end of the third, we saw some offensive life for the Seahawks, forcing a fumble by Drake Maye and then going on to score the first touchdown of the game. AJ Barner, the Seattle tight end, scored on an open route. End of the third: 19-0. Coming into the final quarter of Super Bowl 60, the Pats were desperate to make a last-ditch effort to come away with a win. They started off their drive on three plays with Drake Maye dropping dimes, eventually throwing one for a touchdown to start the scoring for the Pats, making this game 19-7. Sadly for the Pats, they made the Seahawks punt, but on a desperate back-foot throw by Drake Maye, he threw a pick to Julian Love, eventually leading to another field goal (22-7). In a matter of time, the Seahawks were going to be Super Bowl champs, and to seal that win, Drake Maye on his next drive threw another pick; this time it was returned for a touchdown (29-7). Running down the clock, the Patriots, on their second-to-last drive, finally got another score and attempted the two-point conversion, but they didn't get it (29-13). On the final play of the game, the man who started it all, Julian Love, made the final tackle inbounds on TreVeyon Henderson, ending the game and making the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Champs by a score of 29-13. Ares Elder (12) and Jack King (10) both watched this Super Bowl and had some interesting stuff to say about the game itself. “I was really mad that the Patriots didn't win. I put a lot of money on them to win,” Ares said. Jack added, “Honestly, it was kinda mid. It was too defensive; they were both bad at offense.” They also gave predictions on who they think will make the Super Bowl next year: Jack: “Falcons vs. Bills” Ares: “Falcons vs. Ravens” It was an amazing NFL season with a lot of highlights, big trades, and even better playoffs. If you can't survive without football, mark your calendars for the first game next season: Thursday, September 10. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
