Game Recap: *stats from Maxpreps*
The Warrior Boys beat Flowery Branch with the score being 2-1. The Warriors earned two runs during the first inning of the game. The Falcons earned one run during the sixth inning. However, the Falcons made 4 hits which was twice as much as the Warriors.

The Warriors won the game because “We just have more energy, it was like the other team was dead in the dugout,” Branson Blalock said. The Falcons seemed like they didn’t want to win the game because they went through the motions of a baseball game, the Warriors, however, wanted the game for themselves. They brought energy, noise, and spirit onto the field which made them take the win. The Falcons might have played better baseball, but the Grove brought the baseball. Their pitching staff is significant in the innings as well. “Our best factor on the team is our pitching for sure,” Hunter Thomas said. They have guys that can get on the mound and mimic what the pitcher before them did. If they can all do the same thing, which is striking batters out, they will be set for the rest of the season. They are consistent with these crazy pitches that each of them can throw. “I went on the bump and struck out all three batters in the top of the 5th,” said Branson. “Watching the spin master pitch is the most exciting thing throughout games,” Hunter said, talking about Sam Martell, a Senior Varsity player for Walnut Grove baseball. They bring energy. They pitch constantly as if they're mirroring the player before them. They make a “Perfect Team”.

Season Recap: *stats from Maxpreps*
The boys currently have a win-loss ratio of 18-9 with their region ratio being 8-5. This puts them in second place in the Region. They are ranked 99 in Georgia, ranked 18 in Georgia Class 4A, and ranked 69 in Atlanta. Sam Martell (Sr) cranked the most Home Runs of the season so far with 4. Gary Staffins (Jr) had 13 Stolen Bases which was the most of the season. Brayden Kelly (Jr) had 20 Runs during the season and Sam Martell had 30 Hits. When asked what the most difficult game of the season was so far, Branson responded by saying, “North Oconee”. However, Hunter feels as if North Gwinnett was the most difficult.

The Warriors baseball team is on a clean slate right now to victory. Their 2-1 win against the Flowery Branch Falcons definitely showed them what they have become as a team. They have an amazing pitching staff, they have amazing energy that gets them pumped, and they work together as a team to take the win home.
