Who Are Thee Sacred Souls? Thee Sacred Souls is a retro-soul group based in San Diego. They debuted in 2021, releasing their hit single, “Can I Call You Rose?,” making a lot of their popularity off of TikTok. The members include lead singer and songwriter Josh Lane, drummer Alex Garcia, and bassist Sal Samano. Their music can be described as something mellow, laid-back, R&B-adjacent, and rather cosmopolitan. There’s a premium quality to Josh Lane’s vocal performance that just cannot be matched anywhere else, and Josh Lane uses that to his advantage. Over the next few years, the band released three albums: Thee Sacred Souls, Got a Story to Tell, and The Instrumentals. Now they are on tour, performing all the way in Atlanta at the Coca-Cola Roxy. Concert Recap: On September 15, 2026, Thee Sacred Souls performed at the Coca-Cola Roxy in downtown Atlanta. Before the band played, two talented bands opened for them. The first band that opened for them was a three-sister band named The Womack Sisters. The Womack Sisters’ music contains elements of R&B and soul music, which naturally intertwines with the kind of music Thee Sacred Souls is known for. The second opener was La Lom, which is an instrumental rock band that does covers of classic Spanish rock songs. Both openers set the overall vibe of the place, giving the audience entertainment and energy before Thee Sacred Souls performed. Once Thee Sacred Souls came out and began to perform, the crowd erupted into applause and cheers for lead singer Josh Lane and his band. Lane opened with "Love Comes Easy," easing the audience into a plethora of amazing songs. Lane and the band played their most recent popular songs, "Lucid Girl" and "Will I See You Again?" The songs felt heartening as the lights dimmed to purple and blue. The songs had beautiful instrumentals as Lane began to sing, telling stories through his voice. Throughout the show, fans were singing along to every song and swaying their hands around as the music seeped into their souls. Lane took two small intermissions to talk about the things he thinks should be spoken about. One thing Lane spoke on was how the world needs more love and compassion, especially in this era of the world, but most importantly, how we should love ourselves. As the concert came to a close, Lane and his band saved their most popular song for last, "Can I Call You Rose?" The crowd broke out in song and good vibes as Lane and his band closed off their show, taking a bow to thank the crowd. Thee Sacred Souls created a beautiful moment for many, performing songs all across their discography, including their most popular; and while the concert may be over, the memories of Lane’s verifiably velvety vocals will last a lifetime.
