Cheyenne:
When I heard there was going to be another venom, I was extremely excited because the first one was a perfect combination of comedy and action, and it was a Marvel movie. I haven’t seen the second one so I can’t exactly compare it to that one, but I still wanted to see this one. I thought the “We are Venom” part in the beginning was funny because they couldn’t get it done at the same time. When we were introduced to Dr. Payne, and after we got a little of her backstory, I didn’t think it was safe for her and the other scientists to try to pair the alien with another human to make another venom to get information out of them because that one could try to hurt them. I do like how Venom isn’t the only one though, I like that they are different colors and personalities. I was concerned about how they were going to kill the Xenophage (Venom’s sister) because after she was “killed” by the plane engine, she put herself back together despite her being chopped into tiny parts. Despite that, my favorite part was the camper scene, and it was really sweet when he helped the kid not be afraid of aliens. I also liked when Venom turned into the horse. In addition, I liked seeing more of Venom’s backstory, and seeing him be more afraid than other people being afraid of him because it shows that he can actually be hurt. I think that Eddie seems really upset with the fact that Venom is attached to him because he can’t have a normal life, however, I also think he was always grateful to Venom for protecting him. The reviews for this movie are mixed, but it honestly wasn’t a bad movie. It had funny parts, and it had some emotional parts, which I thought was a good addition. This movie was a good watch and I definitely recommend it.
Robert:
I was excited to hear about a third Venom movie being released, and I’ve been waiting on it since I saw the first trailer. I really liked the first two movies, so I was pretty confident it was going to be good, and I was right. The film didn’t disappoint, and I enjoyed how it built on the previous storylines while also introducing new elements. I really liked how the whole movie played out, and I don’t have any complaints. Eddie’s and Venom’s synergy is fascinating because they’re not always on the same page, but they have this relationship that always brings them back together. The horse scene highlights Venom's potential in the Marvel universe and the exciting creative directions future stories could take. It would have been great to see him face a wider range of antagonists beyond just symbiotes. The only thing I didn’t like about the movie was that it ended, and it seemed like this would be the last venom movie produced by marvel. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
