WGHS Music Playlist

Walnut Grove High School students share their favorite music artists, along with a song from that artist, and they also give their song recommendations for a school playlist.

Lily Peck, a junior, comments, “My favorite artist is My Chemical Romance, and a song I would pick by them is Vampires Will Never Hurt You. A song she recommended in the rock genre for the school playlist is “'1979' by the Smashing Pumpkins.”

Bradley Wallace, a junior, shares that his favorite artist is J. Cole. “If I had to pick one song from J. Cole, I would choose Snow On The Bluff.” Followed by a song from the country genre. “I would recommend Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean.

Naveah Brown, a sophomore, “My favorite artist right now is Giveon. I like the songs 'Strangers' or 'For Tonight,' while also giving her favorite song from the rap genre, “For the Rap genre I would pick 'Everybody' by Lil Baby.” She also describes that she likes a lot of different genres of music, so it was hard to pick.

Ziera Nicks said,  “My favorite music artist is probably Drake... I like the song 'Jaded'.” While commenting on what song she would recommend for the playlist. “I would put 'Complicated' by Nivea on a school playlist for R&B.” 

Benjamin Toress-Paez, a freshman, shared that, “Bruno Mars is my favorite artist, and the song I like by him is 'Talking to the Moon'.” Given the Pop genre for his recommendation, he says that 'Monster' by Slim Shady is a good song to listen to. 

Now that some students have started the playlist with their recommendations, what songs would you pick to finish it?
