Most have had the pleasure of experiencing fast food, but sometimes the pleasure is not always dispersed equally amongst all the brands and WGHS staff separates that fast food from trash to treasure; from Zaxby’s to Arby’s.
by Noah Summers and Layla Joy Parson
Mrs. Hunter, retired-student-now-marketing-teacher, has had multiple interesting experiences when it comes to fast food. When it comes to underrated fast-food spots, she prefers the original gangsters. “McDonald's. Or Burger King, but only the chicken fries.” She really likes McDonald’s. “I don't care how fake it is or how bad it is for you. McDonald's is delicious.” Some would call her a diehard McDonald’s fan. D1. She thinks that Chipotle and Raising Cane's are some of the best food places, right side of America, and that “the food is good and the service is good.” She doesn’t think as highly of Zaxby’s, considering it dogwater.

Mr. Longgennecker, ~22nd grade, sees Zaxby's as overrated. And for underrated, he believes Arby's to be as such—he himself being an enthusiast, as he “was one of the first 50 customers at the Monroe Arby's” and he “got to eat there for free for a whole year.” He is a serious Arby’s fan; he took full advantage of the year of guaranteed meals and then some. Although he sees Arby’s as underrated, this does not take his mind off Chick-fil-A, which is “consistent and always good.”

An honorable mention is Mr. Bellflower's view on all of fast food and the need to go there yourself. “Go to the restaurant. You'd be better off eating in the restaurant. The food's going to be better. The food's going to be higher quality. You're going to get better service.” Experience or not, his view on calling a restaurant and having it delivered remains well-rounded.

In Walnut Grove High School, everyone has different preferences, the staff opining much on fast food and the restaurants, and yet, here they are connecting on things like their dislike of Zaxby’s.
