Recently, there has been a surge of concerts nationwide, from New York to here in Georgia, and WGHS students and staff have a few things to say about them.
Chelsea Stephens, a 10th-grade student at WGHS, has gone to a few concerts herself. “Um, I've been to GAB four times and two CG5 concerts.” Chelsea describes a particularly peculiar experience while attending one of these concerts: “We were late to one of the first concerts because of Ticketmaster not working correctly and not showing the correct time. Then they changed it as we got there, so we were an hour late to the concert. After that, we were talking to the manager and we got to go to the next one, and I got to meet him that time. Then we got to go to the next one for free, and I got to meet him there too.” Another one of WGHS’s 10th-graders, Katrina Wren, also offered commentary. “Oh my gosh. I've been to a Sleep Token concert and, sadly, a Melanie Martinez concert.” Katrina has gone to various concerts over the years, having had some experiences herself that she describes as unsavory. “Um, some girl tried to rush on stage and everything. She tried to get on stage and run after Melanie while she was like in the air 'cause she was like being attached by strings or something.” Sanai Coleman, a 12th-grader at Walnut Grove, recounts going to a 2hollis concert and praising the light show. Sanai described 2hollis’s music as a “hyper hyper electric sound and stuff like that.” As for the concert itself, Sanai mentioned there being tons of people on the floor during the mosh pit, creating an exciting atmosphere: “Everybody was doing backflips and stuff like that.” The aforementioned 2hollis concert is the only concert that Sanai has attended so far: “I was going to go to the Mak concert this weekend, but we didn't have enough funds.” Despite this, she plans to go to an upcoming “The Way to Earth” concert in October. All in all, WGHS students and staff have had lots of fun going to different concerts from all around the nation. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
