Students at WGHS are already buzzing with excitement as concerts planned for 2026 promise unforgettable performances, lively crowds, and plenty of opinions about the music and overall experience.

Atlanta is shaping up to be one of the biggest tour stops of 2026, with major artists across pop, hip-hop, rock, and R&B all bringing their shows to the city. Big names like Cardi B, Demi Lovato, Charlie Puth, Summer Walker, AC/DC, Ariana Grande, Don Toliver, and A$AP ROCKY are scheduled to perform, while global acts such as TWICE, Doja Cat, and Florence & The Machine are also adding Atlanta dates to their tours. Indie and alternative artists like Tame Impala and Mac DeMarco, along with legacy performers including Lionel Richie, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Guns N’ Roses, highlight how diverse this year’s lineup has become. With its strong music culture, large venues, and dedicated fan base, Atlanta continues to be a must-stop city for artists touring in 2026 (Ticketmaster).

Ashlynn Melton (junior) said the main person she’s hoping to see this year is Ariana Grande. Having seen clips of previous concerts online, she thinks it's [going to] be “one of those concerts where everyone’s singing the entire time and it just feels unreal.” Ashlynn and a few of her friends have already talked about trying to get tickets for the Atlanta shows. Additionally, she plans to see Summer Walker, too. “Her music is just really good live from what I've heard… I feel like it would be a chill concert but still really, really fun.” She added that this year feels like the year to actually go to more concerts instead of just talking about it.

Kelsey Herron (senior) is most interested in seeing Don Toliver for his energetic concerts and overall musical vibe. “I feel like the crowd would be really hype.” Kelsey explained that she hasn’t been to many concerts yet, so she’s really trying to pick ones that would be really memorable for her first big show this year. When looking and researching the concerts and tours this year, she found out that Tame Impala is doing a concert and is really considering going to that one as well. “I’ve seen videos, and the lights and visuals look insane… Even if you don’t know every song, it still looks like a cool experience.”

After hearing about some of the other artists that are going on tour, Kelsey added another concert to her “maybe” list: Doja Cat. She didn't realize how many big artists were touring this year until seeing the lineup online. “Now I feel like I need to start saving money,” she joked. Kelsey added that hearing what other students want to go to has made her more interested in checking out different shows instead of sticking to just one or two.

As 2026 fills up with tour dates and ticket drops, it’s clear that Atlanta’s concert scene is giving Warriors plenty to look forward to. Whether they’ve already secured their seats or just added a new show to their wish list, Walnut Grove students are definitely ready to make this year loud in the best way possible.
