Released on Wednesday, December 3, the 2025 edition sparked plenty of conversation. Here’s what some around Walnut Grove had to say about their results.
Ms. Doolittle, a geometry and AP Statistics teacher, enjoyed this year’s Wrapped greatly, stating, “I liked how it was formatted this year with swiping like you were watching Reels. I also liked how it included your Spotify age—that was funny!” Spotify designated her a "Supporter of Club Serotonin," part of the 2025 Wrapped’s new club feature, which assigns users a role in a specific club based on their listening activity. With 5,322 total minutes, Ms. Doolittle’s top artist was Forrest Frank. But how were this year’s stats different from last year? She says, “This year, all five of my top songs were from the same artist—that was not the case last year.” Audrey Lee, a freshman, says, “Honestly, it was pretty bad… last year was way better.” Despite that, she enjoyed this year’s new features. Audrey says her top artist was Tate McRae. With a listening time of 24,000 minutes, she was assigned to the "Full Charge Crew," with her role being the "Collector." Audrey feels that she has “listened to a lot more music” and that her “genres definitely changed.” Lily Peck, a junior, says 2025’s Wrapped “was pretty alright,” and she expressed enjoyment of the "Listening Archive" feature at the end. Designated a "Collector of the Grit Collective," she had roughly 64 days' worth of listening time. Her top artist was My Chemical Romance, which is especially noteworthy because “[her] top artist has been the same for the past five years,” so she wasn’t very surprised. Matthew Compton, also a freshman, comments that he thinks “it was pretty good” and that “it was definitely interesting how they did it,” particularly mentioning the variety of unique fonts used to provide the retro aesthetic that Spotify was going for. His top artist was Treaty Oak Revival, and he totaled roughly 50,000 minutes, which he claims “changed a lot” since last year’s Wrapped. As the year draws to a close, many look back on their year and the music they listened to, already excited for next year’s edition of Spotify Wrapped.
