Ansleigh is currently a junior at WGHS. She works at the Walton Tribune as a writer and a photographer. This past summer, she started a business called, "Ansleigh's Photography." Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, Bible studies at Starbucks, and reading. She loves playing Taylor Swift songs on her guitar. Ansleigh is super excited for another year of Viridian!

Drew Caraway is a Junior on the Viridian News Staff. He is an inaugural member and is the Sports Team Editor. He plays basketball and enjoys sports in general. In his free time, he'll watch and play sports, spend time with his family and God, and likes to help out wherever he can.

Cheyenne is a senior and has been in VIRIDIAN for four semesters, she really enjoys hearing the students' opinions on the articles she writes. She likes talking to them about things they're interested in. She loves to read just about anything, and write about everything. She hopes to become a journalist after high school.

Justin Andrio is a junior at Walnut Grove this is his first time on the sports team for the newspaper team. He likes to watch all types of sports and plays baseball and basketball. He also likes video games such as Cod, NBA 2k, and FIFA games. His favorite food is Shepherd's pie and his favorite drink is Dr Pepper.

Talia Banks is a freshman at WGHS who loves volleyball, listening to music, and talking to getting to know people, although she's an introvert. This is her second semester in this class. Her favorite food is pasta and her favorite color is pink. She has a twin sister, 3 older sisters, and 1 older brother. She wants to attend LSU, Emory University, or Mercer University for college. Last but not least, one day she hopes to be a pediatrician or help with human services.

Emery Brown, a junior, is a big fan of all things music and the arts. A rock, reggae, and hip-hop enthusiast, he has hopes of one day singing for a grunge, punk, or metal cover band. He often volunteers with the art department, working on projects around the school. In his free time, he loves to hang out with his friends and family, draw, read, go to concerts, and go on walks. His dream is to travel all around the world and he hopes to be a history or art teacher in the future.

Makayla Bryson is in 10th grade. This is her first year doing newspaper. Outside of school she does competitive cheer. During her free time she likes to hangout with friends and family and go to cheer.

Arwen is a senior and a newspaper/ yearbook student. She is on the WGHS Swim team, takes dual enrollment, and works at Papa John's. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family in her free time. She likes to listen to music, go shopping, and chill. Arwen is going to Georgia Gwinnett College to begin her studies in marine biology.

Addison Butler is currently a freshman at Walnut Grove. She is currently enjoying her first year in newspaper class. Addison also has an older brother who graduated from WG in 2024. Some of her hobbies include riding and competing her horses in jumping competitions. Another thing she enjoys doing in her free time is hanging out with friends and family and going to church. Addison's plans after high school include attending UGA and going to law school. Overall she is excited to be in Newspaper class and finishing her freshman year.

Ty Cameron is currently a Junior at Walnut Grove High School. This is his third semester working for the Viridian Newspaper. It is also his third semester being on the Sports team for the Viridian. His favorite type of fruit is blackberries. In his free time he mostly just goes out with his family and hangs out with them. He is very excited to work with the newspaper again and is thinking of returning for his Senior year.

Danija is a junior here at WGHS. She is also a cheerleader as well. This is her first year doing the newspaper and she plans on having fun with it. She is also in the entertainment section. In her free time she likes to sleep, scroll on TikTok/make TikToks, and she also likes going on drives with her older siblings. She plans on going to Albany State University to become an ultrasound tech. She loves to meet new people and make new friends.

Rylee Watson is currently a sophomore at WG, this is first year being a part of the VIRIDIAN News team, mainly working in school news. Rylee spends her time playing softball, reading, and shopping. She is currently interning at WG elementary in a 2nd grade classroom. Rylee wants to be an ultrasound technician in the future, or an elementary school teacher. Rylee enjoys photography and journalism and would like to look into that work field as well.
