Ansleigh Hester School news editor Ansleigh is currently a junior at WGHS. She works at the Walton Tribune as a writer and a photographer. This past summer, she started a business called, "Ansleigh's Photography." Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, Bible studies at Starbucks, and reading. She loves playing Taylor Swift songs on her guitar. Ansleigh is super excited for another year of Viridian!

Drew Caraway sports editor Drew Caraway is a Junior on the Viridian News Staff. He is an inaugural member and is the Sports Team Editor. He plays basketball and enjoys sports in general. In his free time, he'll watch and play sports, spend time with his family, and help out wherever he can.

Justin Andrio SPORTS Justin Andrio is a junior at Walnut Grove this is his first time on the sports team for the newspaper team. He likes to watch all types of sports and plays baseball and basketball. He also likes video games such as Cod, NBA 2k, and FIFA games. His favorite food is Shepherd's pie and his favorite drink is Dr Pepper.

Robert Arizmendi Entertainment Robert Arizmendi is a senior at Walnut Grove high school. He likes to be outside and work on cars and hopes to be a mechanic one day soon. This is his first time working on a newspaper. He hopes to make new friends and find out more things he enjoys doing to pass the time.

Kweku Assan Sports Kweku Assan is a freshman at Walnut Grove. This is the first time for him being in the newspaper team. He is a part of the sports team. He really enjoys playing soccer and his intention is to play on the WGHS soccer team. Some of his favorite foods consist of McDonalds, seafood, and fried chicken. Some of his favorite drinks are Fanta grape soda and Kool aid.

Talia Banks SCHOOL NEWS Talia Banks is a freshman at WGHS who loves volleyball, listening to music, and talking and getting to know people. She likes to be a social person and this is her first time being in this class. Her favorite food is pasta and her favorite color is pink. She has a twin sister and 3 older sisters and 1 older brother. She wants to go GA Tech or LSU for college. Last but not least, one day she hopes to be an environmental engineer.

Tristan Banks SCHOOL NEWS My name is Tristan Banks, I am a freshman at WGHS. I love to shop and spend time with family and friends. I have a twin sister named and her name is Talia. We love spending time together every day. I am very friendly and I also enjoy trying new things. I love being on social media. I am excited about being on the newspaper team. I want to help people and create new stories.

Makenzie Bass SCHOOL NEWS Kenzie is currently a sophomore and it is her first semester on the team. She does marching and concert band and is a part of the drumline here at WG. Some of her hobbies include practicing her snare, playing piano, reading, and hanging out with friends and family. Her favorite subjects in school are literature and science. When she grows up, she wants to go to nursing school to become a nurse practitioner and work at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). She loves to listen to music including Frank Ocean, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, and Lana Del Ray.

Sean Clift Sports Sean Clift is a Junior at Walnut Grove. This is his first time being on the newspaper. He likes watching sports, playing games and working out. He plans on going to college for computer tech. Some of Sean’s favorite foods are steak, chicken and tacos.

Corynne Cox school news Corynne is currently a freshman at Walnut Grove High School. This is Corynne's first semester on the Newspaper team. She is on the high school Color Guard team, this is her first year on the team. Some of her interests are hanging out with friends and family, and playing kickball. One of Corynne's favorite subjects in school is ECE (Early Childhood Education). In the future Corynne wants to be a kindergarten teacher.

Kaden Cragin sports Kaden Cragin is currently a freshman at Walnut Grove High school. He is a member of the sports team. This will be his first semester working on the newspaper. Kaden plays football here at Walnut Grove. He is competitive and happy to be on the sports team

AJ Diaz Sports This is AJ Diaz's first time ever being in this class, and he is a freshman. He is a friendly person and loves being social. AJ loves playing soccer, fishing, and working with other people. He is extremely excited to be in the sports group. His favorite foods include fish, beans, shrimp, and spaghetti.

Chloe Fankah entertainment Chloe is a Junior at Walnut Grove High School, and this is her first time in newspaper. She is currently in NHS and hoping to join other clubs as the semester goes on. She loves to crochet, read, and sing. Her favorite food is Jollof rice with jerk chicken. Once Chloe graduates, she wants to enroll at Duke University or UGA and major in IT/Computer Science and Business.

Danija Thomas Entertainment Danija is a junior here at WGHS. She is also a cheerleader as well. This is her first year doing the newspaper and she plans on having fun with it. She is also in the entertainment section. In her free time she likes to sleep, scroll on TikTok/make TikToks, and she also likes going on drives with her older siblings. She plans on going to Albany State University to become an ultrasound tech. She loves to meet new people and make new friends.

Rylee Watson school news Rylee Watson is currently a sophomore at WGHS. This is her first year on the Viridian staff. Her hobbies include playing travel softball and being a part of the WGHS softball program. She also enjoys being social, photography, and writing. After high school Rylee hopes to start her career in childhood education or become an ultrasound technician.

Dayla Wilson Entertainment Dayla is a sophomore at WGHS, she attended WGHS as a freshman as well. This is her first semester being on the Viridian staff and she is very excited to be a part of something like this. She enjoys playing and watching soccer, animals, socializing, and art. She plans to attend college at GA Southern and major in Psychology.
