Mariana is a senior at WGHS and is an editor for the Entertainment team. Mariana has been at VIRIDIAN News for 2 years and is entering her 3rd year. Mariana enjoys to write about music, TV shows, Movies, and entertainment in general. Mariana wants to enter the medical field after high school and plans to go to college

Harrison is a junior at Walnut Grove High School. He enjoys watching football, playing pickleball, and going out to eat Popeyes. This is his second semester being on VIRIDIAN news staff, and he is excited to see what there will be to write about. He has a new role as Sports editor and is excited to see where it takes him and how he can improve his leadership skills.

This is Corynne's 2nd time on the VIRIDIAN News team! She is in her junior year of high school. She is the captain of the Walnut Grove High School Color Guard Team. After school, she plans to go to college to become a teacher. She loves to hang out with her family and friends. She is looking forward to capturing students stories and opinions here at Walnut Grove.

Kay Barrett school news Kay is a freshman, and this is her first time on VIRIDIAN news. Her favorite color is pink. She play volleyball and is a competitive cheerleader. She loves the beach and the lake. She's a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A and loves Starbucks refreshers and coffee from Dunkin. She loves hanging out with people, shopping, cheer, volleyball, sleeping, eating, etc.

Grayson Brandenburg Sports This is Grayson's first time on VIRIDIAN News. He likes to play video games and sports. He also likes to listen to music, mostly rock.

Semaj Chestnut sports Semaj Chestnut is a junior at Walnut Grove High School. This is his first time doing anything related to journalism, but he is very excited. He loves not only play sports such as basketball and football, but loves watching them as well. He does not play sports for the school, focusing rather on academics and his GPA, but he does have school pride and roots for the teams whenever possibly. He is in many clubs, such as National Honors Society, Youth Leadership Walton, and Troupe 7663. He also likes video games, and whenever he is not being active you can find him on his Xbox. Other than all of that, he is going to take pride in being a part of VIRIDIAN Sports news.

Aubree Durkot school news Aubree Durkot has no experience with VIRIDIAN but is excited to start getting some experience! She enjoys spending time with her friends and laughing. She is looking forward to finding connections with the VIRIDIAN community.

Quinn Fleming school news Quinn is a freshman at Walnut Grove High School. This is her first time doing Journalism and using VIRIDIAN News and she is very excited about writing and having fun! Outside of school Quinn loves to do competitive swimming. This season will be her 9th year swimming, and she swims for ABSC. She loves to hang out with her friends and family and enjoys watching sports, especially when the Georgia Bulldogs are playing!

Zeke Hughes entertainment Zeke is a senior at Walton Grove High School. He loves to write scripts, voice act, draw comic books, and tell others about God. This is his first year in the newspaper. Zeke is a firm believer in his Christian faith. When people bring him questions about his religion, he enjoys answering them with the knowledge he has of it. When it comes to talking to others, he tries to bring a smile or make others feel welcome. Zeke enjoys making friends and chatting with others. Zeke is an understanding person; he loves to help others when they need it.

Libby Martin entertainment This is Liberty's first year on the VIRIDIAN team, working on Entertainment. Her passions include art, swimming, and cycling. He really loves Mami Tomoe.

Marissa Mathis School News This is Marissa's first time on the VIRIDAN News Team! She loves playing golf, painting, and so much more! She is looking forward to taking pictures and writing about the interesting news around her!

Raine Mobley entertainment Raine Mobley is currently in her tenth year of high school and is on the VIRIDIAN Entertainment team! Her interests include mostly creative design, such as fashion design, illustration, character creation, story building, writing, etc. but also branch out to fandom spaces and internet browsing! She looks forward to brainstorming ideas with her group and getting to know other people better, as well as being able to write about her and her team's interests for others to engage with!

Amelia Nandkishwar sports Amelia is a sophomore at Walnut Grove High School. She works for the Viridian newspaper. Her hobbies include taking care of her dog and studying in her free time. Amelia enjoys interacting with others and brainstorming new ideas. She looks forward to being able to write a proper newspaper and connect with peers.
Noah Summers entertainment Noah Summers, senior, is a pleasant addition to the VIRIDIAN team. His hobbies are rather plentiful, including interests in drawing, writing, music, and movies. And to add on to all of that, he is quite passionate about social issues as well as independent media, specifically when it comes to cinema and video games.

Lilly Ottens sports This is Lilly's first year in journalism. She runs track and cross country, and she used to do dance and softball. She loves the beach and this past summer she went to Anna Maria Island which has very clear waters. She also got a lot of pina coladas. One of her pet peeves is when some people make everything negative and complain about everything. She loves the band Treaty Oak Revival.
Delano Sutherland entertainment Delano Sutherland is a freshmen. He likes to watch anime A LOT, sing, read, and likes to sleep. He usually puts out his softer, kinder side but does also have a much more cocky and arrogant side to him. He socializes when he can and does have many friends. His main goal is to be nice and helpful to everybody, even though the task itself is difficult. He knows he can do it.

Layla Joy Parson entertainment Layla Joy Parson- in her free time- has learned to draw, filling her time with doing so. Along with drawing, she has just recently moved to Georgia from Fort Lauderdale, and hopes to make herself at home. Although not VIRIDIAN experience, she has ~2 years of prior experience from her last schools' newspaper program. She hopes to learn more, make new friends, and expand on her portfolio. She's very happy to be here, and can't wait to grow!
Ava Turpin entertainment Ava is a freshman who just joined the VIRIDIAN News team. She takes interest in cartoons, ZaDr, animation, movies, sci-fi & historical fiction books. Ava's main interest is drawing, specifically fan art and illustrations of scenes in her favorite books.

Nala Porter School News Nala Porter is a freshman at Walnut Grove High School. This is her first time on the school newspaper for the VIRIDIAN. She likes to bake, cook, and crochet. Music is all she thinks about from the moment she wakes up till the moment she sleeps. She listens to all types of music and her favorite artists are Sleeping with Sirens, Frank Sinatra, Paramore, Xavier Wolf and Lil Peep. She enjoys watching paranormal videos, horror movies and movies about witches. Her favorite shows are Teen Wolf, Gilmore Girls, and the whole Vampire Diaries series. Her favorite colors are dark purple and dark red.
Arianna Riveron sports Arianna Riveron is a junior at WGHS. She is passionate about music and is positive she has peak music taste. She's also obsessed with vintage and retro things like thrifting and DIY-ing old things. She's also super obsessed with old music and the 80s, 90s, and 2000s especially rock and soft rock music. And she's a huge pop girl! She's very into fashion, clothes, accessories, books and movies (especially romance). The most important thing to her is Jesus and her faith! She's very talkative but also a great listener!
