Emery Brown, a senior, is in his third year with VIRIDIAN. A fan of all things music, movies, and the arts, Emery is a passionate artist who spends much of his time writing, drawing, and singing, inspired heavily by figures like Kurt Cobain and Ozzy Osbourne. He loves spending time with his friends and family, aspiring to one day travel the world, and going to as many concerts as possible. He aims to go to UGA to become a United States history teacher.

Drew Caraway is a Senior on the VIRIDIAN News Staff. He is an inaugural member and is the Sports Team Editor. He plays basketball and enjoys sports in general. In his free time, he'll read his Bible, watch and play sports, spend time with his family and God, and likes to help out wherever he can.

Ansleigh is currently a senior at WGHS. She takes dual enrollment classes at the University of West Georgia. She is a photographer for sports and other endeavors. Ansleigh plays the guitar and loves to sing.

Rylee Watson is currently a junior at WG, this is her second year being a part of the VIRIDIAN News team and her first year as an editor for school news. Rylee spends her time playing softball for the WG program, reading, and shopping. She is interested in majoring in criminal justice or forensic science, to go into CSI. Her other interests for her future involve careers in the medical field like occupational therapy or becoming a RN.

Justin Andrio is a Senior at Walnut Grove this is his fourth time on the sports team for the newspaper team. He likes to watch all types of sports and plays tennis for the school. He also likes video games such as MLB the show, NBA 2k, and Madden games. His favorite food is Shepherd's pie and his favorite drink is Dr Pepper.

Kenzie Bass is a junior and this is her second year on the VIRIDIAN team. She does many activities at the school, including Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Band. She is Vice President of SkillsUSA in the healthcare branch and she aspires to be a Nurse Practitioner one day at CHOA (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta). On her time off, she has also been a wrestling manager for two years. Her favorite things to do are reading, coloring, hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, watching movies, and working at Firehouse Monroe.

Nevaeh Boyce is 16 year old, sophomore and this is her first semester in VIRIDIAN. She did color guard in the fall and she played the trombone for about 1 year. She loves music like k-pop, r&b, hip hop, and so on. She has 2 brothers and she is the oldest. She enjoys watching k-drama and anime.

Brenna Brantley is a senior at Walnut Grove High School. This is her first year as a staff member on the newspaper. Brenna spends her time with family, working and enjoying time with friends. She is excited to be behind the scenes for her last semester and be able to write articles for the Walnut Grove community.

Ty Cameron is a Senior at Walnut Grove High School. This is his fifth and final semester working for the VIRIDIAN Newspaper and fifth semester on the Sports team. His favorite hobbies are playing video games, mostly Nintendo, and reading at his local library. His favorite fruit is blackberries, and he has a really big sweet tooth. Since this is the beginning of his last year with VIRIDIAN, he is ready to make it the best and most productive year in his career. He is happy to give this class one final round.

Mariana Castaneda is a 16 year old and a junior. Mariana loves music, movies, friends, and family. She loves to talk, even though she is a very shy person, she can talk your head off. Mostly about music. Outside of school she loves to go to Church/ Bible study, and to tend to her garden. She loves to discover new and old music, her favorite artists include Lana Del Rey, Travis Scott, Ivan Cornejo, and Daniel Caesar. She loves to watch old romance movies, and tear jerkers. Lastly, Mariana wants to be a marine biologist and wants to go to college, and can't wait to write about the things she's most passionate about!

Sabrina Cleland is a 15 year old sophomore at Walnut Grove High School. She has a creative and optimistic mindset, and is most passionate about music and fashion. This is her first semester in journalism, and she's ready to gain experience. She enjoys watching YouTube, listening to music and podcasts, as well as playing Roblox. Her favorites are: the color pink, Hello Kitty, cookie brownies, seafood boils, Taco Bell, and boba. She has 3 siblings, older and younger, 3 dogs, and a cat. She hopes to have a good time overall and form a nice community with others

Haley Hubbard is a senior who is joining the VIRIDIAN staff for the first time. She is new to writing articles for a newspaper but is always open to learning the ropes and what it takes to be a good journalist. She has a passion for photography and an interest in taking pictures of different subjects. She loves to take pictures of places, nature, people and animals. Haley has a special interest in watching anime or animated shows. She will happily converse about her interests and would love to learn new things from others.

Amelia is a Senior on the VIRIDIAN News Staff. This year is her second semester in newspaper, and she's excited to continue in journalism and to be part of the fun behind the scenes until she graduates.  This is Peyton's first time doing media for the school! She's been riding horses since she was 4 and placed 8th Nationally for Agriscience Fair back in 2023 for a science project. She loves summer time but is not really a beachy-girl. She's more obsessed with the lake and being on Oconee riding jet skis! She grew up in GA and lived here basically her whole life. Her aunt also works at the school too! Mrs. Kennedy B202!

Harrison Smith is a sophomore at Walnut Grove High School. This is his first year being part of the VIRIDIAN News team. He likes watching NFL, College football, and Golf. His favorite Football teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Georgia Bulldogs. He likes playing pickup basketball, and playing golf with friends. He spends his time working out, eating, driving, fishing, and spending time with family. He is a part of FCA leadership, and SkillsUSA leadership. He hopes to pursue a career in vocational ministry and wound care after high school.
