March 8th, 2024, Ariana Grande released her new album Eternal Sunshine. The album is rising to fame with many fans of Ariana Grande, giving overwhelmingly positive feedback on the new album.

WGHS Junior, Lily Penn, is a huge Ariana Grande fan and was insisting on putting in a good word on behalf of the album. “Eternal Sunshine is her best album; it’s similar to her other albums because it’s about a guy. The best song from this album is 'Bye and We Can’t Be Friends',” said Lily. Many of Ariana Grande’s songs feel very close to home for young women and help these women feel like they’re not alone in their dating experiences. Jada Bailey, WGHS Junior, replied, “I liked the album a lot. I related to a lot of things she sang about in the album. Her songs have always been something that I liked. Her songs helped me in a time when I was hurting, and it was nice to know that I wasn’t alone. Thanks to her song, 'Thank You Next', I could reinvent myself.” 

Although the majority of her fans are women, she does have quite a few male listeners. In fact, 46.5% of her followers on Instagram are men. She even has a subreddit called, Ariheads, dedicated to her. WGHS freshman, Justin Sharp, is a huge fan of Ariana Grande and jumped at the chance to answer questions about her, “Eternal Sunshine is such a good album. It’s the best album of 2024. All of my friends know I am a huge fan of Ariana Grande. I don’t relate to any of her songs, but she does make some killer music. Most of the time, I am listening to her albums, and now I have another album to add to my Spotify playlist.” 

Many are fans of Ariana Grande because she was on Disney Channel back in the 2000s, but she does have haters. WGHS Senior, Ariana Parsons, is a known hater of Ariana Grande. “Ariana Grande is the worst singer ever. She’s awful and all of her songs are awful. She doesn’t have a good album. She is a terrible person and I regret that we share the same name. I watched her a lot when I was a kid because I loved Victorious and Sam and Cat, but she is just the worst. I wish I could go back in time and stop my parents from naming me Ariana,” raged Parsons. 

Whether she is a good person or not, she brings in 81,728,773 monthly listeners on Spotify. Her fan base grows everyday and we wish the best of luck to her and her career.

Ariana Grande Controversy
Ariana’s Grande’s new album was a hit to many loyal fans, but some of the star’s recent actions have many people questioning their loyalties to her. 

Speculations of Ariana Grande being a “homewrecker” arose when just three days after her separation from her husband, Dalton Gomez, Ariana Grande was reportedly dating Ethan Slater. 

Ethan Slater and Lilly Jay, his wife and high school sweetheart, had just given birth to their first baby. He didn’t file for divorce until six days after reportedly dating Ariana Grande. 

Ariana is known for being linked to many celebrities breaking up in the past. She is linked to Mac Miller cheating on his girlfriend, Nomi Leasure, as well as Big Sean with Naya Rivera, and Pete Davidson with Cazzie David. 

Ariana Grande received major backlash for her songs “Ok, And?” and “The Boy Is Mine” because they are tied with her affair with Ethan Slater. 

Whether these speculations are true or not, Ariana Grande is still a majorly popular star and will most likely stay that way for a long time to come. ​
