Klint Robinson is a freshman on the Walnut Grove Varsity baseball team.
by Ty Cameron
Klint Robinson is player number 18 and holds down the position of catcher on the Varsity baseball team. He is currently the only freshman on Varsity, and as of writing this article, has played in two games this season: one game against Eastside and one against Morgan County (Maxpreps).
Klint also played baseball in middle school and wishes to play professionally. When asked what got him into baseball, he responded, “I think my dad, yeah... My dad started me [in baseball] when I was young with just tee ball.” Klint views middle school and high school baseball differently, “[High school] is a lot more competitive.” With Klint being the only freshman on the Varsity team, our readers may think there is a lot of pressure on him. However, he does not feel this pressure; in fact he quite enjoys being the only freshman, “Getting to be around a fun group of guys, and it just feels like you have a lot of older brothers.” He has also quite enjoyed his experience here at Walnut Grove, “Everyone here is pretty cool.” Warriors need to split representatives between Varsity and JV, and they call on Klint whenever and wherever they need him. Klint has already proved himself this season and has solidified his place in the Varsity team. We all can’t wait to see the bright future that is ahead of him.
