Panama City, Florida is possibly one of the most commonly visited destinations for Georgians due to its closeness, its sunny beaches, and its hot spots for teens. Senior Yvette Johnson Mcleod, and Freshman Abby Mcintyre tell us the adventures of their spring break in Panama City.
Senior Yvette Johnson Mcleod discussed the most exciting part of her trip, “I went jet skiing for the first time, but I did it twice.” She states that even though she was in pain the next day, “it was still fun.” Yvette also includes the other activities while on her spring break “I went go-karting, I ate really good food.” When asked what her favorite place and meal she ate, she excitedly proclaimed “This breakfast restaurant- they had chicken and waffles, and they had berries all over it, and powdered sugar. It was really good.” While she was in Panama for eight days, she brought home a surprise. “I got a turtle, his name is Toxic. Toxic the turtle, he’s really cute.” Although, there were some downsides to her trip, “Managing money, like not being able to do everything that you wanna do.” Her summer consists of going back to Panama from June 30th through July 7th, for the Fourth of July. Freshman Abby McIntyre, also shares the most exciting part while on her trip in Panama City, “Being on the beach, like laying in the sun, being with my girlfriends, tanning, just being there, it was just nice.” She continues, “It felt very free.” Abby shares her thoughts about the beach, “The beach is just so fabulous and amazing, and it makes you feel good.” Coming back to school wasn’t easy for Abby, “It has been so hard, like spring break, I almost wish that it wasn’t a thing, I was so out of my groove when I got back, and was so mad at everything... I’ve already missed two days of school ‘cause of how out of my groove I am.” She misses being on the beach, not having to do anything or wake up early, and she absolutely would go back. She then talks about her plans for the summer, “Being with my girl friends, just being at the pool, doing lots of things, having lots of fun.” And she finishes, “I don’t want to be in the house whatsoever this summer.” Unlike Yvette and Abby, Sophomore Kaden Miller stayed home this spring break, but still had loads of fun. Miller talked about how his spring break went and what he did, “Me and the family went to Top Golf so it was fun playing with them.” He also saw his niece, and since he hasn’t seen her in a long time, he had fun. “We went to Urban Air, it was boring because I really couldn't do anything, it was just a bunch of little kids playing around so I had to sit on my phone most of the time.” Additionally, Kayden used his time off to catch up on the latest movies. Similar to Abby, Kayden wasn’t ready to come back to school either, “I was never ready to come back to school. I didn’t miss doing school work.” Although, when asked how it felt to have to get back into the school routine and wake up so early, he said, “Well, I’m kinda used to it ‘cause I’ve been doing it a lot, you know with sports and stuff.” Finally, he shared his plans for the summer, “Football camps, and hanging out with friends, and going to the beach, and going to the mall.” Spring break was filled with fun, relaxation, and memories for Yvette, Abby, and Kayden. Maybe this summer will be just as fun. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
