The 49ers will face off against the Chiefs on Feb 11, 6:30PM eastern time at Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl. The Chiefs will fall to the 49ers due to the 49ers stingy defense and balanced offense.

The Stat Sheet
The 49ers are favored by 1.5 points going into the game, and are projected to win by 59.4% of ESPN analyzers. (ESPN)

The 49ers have a more balanced offense, and lead the NFL in total TD’s. They also have the 3rd most rushing yards and 6th most passing yards in the league. On the other hand the Chiefs have the 19th most rushing yards and 7th most passing yards. The 49ers are definitely the better team on the offensive side of the ball. (ESPN)

On the defensive side of the ball, the Chiefs rank 2nd in points allowed, but the 49ers are not far off. The 49ers rank 3rd in the league in this category. Charles Omenihu, Chiefs DT, has recorded 7 sacks and 28 tackles this season. As of Thursday, he is ruled out with a torn ACL. This could prove pivotal in the Chiefs ability to apply pressure on Brock Purdy. (ESPN)

Many questioned Brock Purdy’s ability as a QB. However, Mr. Irrelevant have proven them wrong, leading the league in QBR, throwing for the 5th most passing yards, and throwing the 3rd most TD’s this season. (ESPN)        



My Predictions
This will be a very up and down game. The 49ers will come out on top 34-27, due to Christian McCaffrey and an efficient Brock Purdy. Unlike the Chiefs, the 49ers will establish a good run game that opens things up down the field. Brock Purdy will throw for over 250 yards, and record 2 TD’s. Additionally, Patrick Mahomes will fall apart late in the 4rth quarter because of the Chief’s inability to run the ball. Brock Purdy will win Super Bowl MVP and prove himself once again. I think that the 49ers can easily win the game if they play focused. The Chiefs are not an easy team to play against, especially in the Playoffs, but I do think this 49ers team is up for the challenge.

On Sunday, the 49ers will face off against the Chiefs, and prove why they are the better team. The 49ers balanced offense run behind Brock Purdy will prove too overwhelming for this Chiefs defense, and Mahomes will be sent home crying.
