From Thursday, April 11, through Sunday, April 4th, Augusta National hosted their annual Masters tournament. The Masters is known as one of, if not the, best tournament in the game of golf, with the winner going home with the $3.3 million and the famous Green Jacket.

Conditions
This was one of the windiest Masters in years, reaching up to 43 miles per hour on Friday. Sand from bunkers pelted players and spectators. This made it extremely difficult for players to post really low scores, especially Friday. Players struggled to decipher the direction as the wind was curving around the trees, which caused lots of trouble.

Winner
Scottie Scheffler claimed his 2nd win at the Masters, posting a total score of 11 under par. He proved why he is ranked #1 in the world by winning by a margin of 4 strokes and 20 birdies. This win was more than just golf for Scheffler though. When Scheffler won, he told his pregnant wife, “I’m coming home” just before he got emotional. The next closest score to Scheffler was Ludvig Aberg, who ended at 7 under par. This was Aberg's first Masters tournament and first major tournament. He is likely to be a name to remember. DeChambeau Struggles Late

Bryson DeChambeau went out and shot a very impressive 65 (7 under) in the first round of the tournament. He made Augusta look really easy and had high hopes going into the last 3 rounds of the tournament. Then, DeChambeau shot one over par in the second round, but still stood tied in first. Everything fell apart in the 3rd round as he posted a final score of 3 over par. To end his Masters, he shot 1 over par making him fall all the way to 6th place. This isn’t the first time DeChambeau has struggled at Augusta. His last two trips, DeChambeau missed the cut, and his best finish was T21 back when he was an amateur.
Leaderboard
In short, Scottie Scheffler was able to pull out the victory at Augusta National. He was able to walk away with 3.3 million dollars and the Green Jacket. On the other hand, Bryson Deshambeu was not able to get over his Masters struggles. Lasty, this is how the rest of the cut scored.
