Due September 2023, the WG marketing class is preparing for the opening of the first official school store: The Warrior Warehouse. Marketing members, Drew Adams and Victoria Raphael are both “very excited” to see all their hard work paid off. To prepare for this exciting advancement for both the class and school, Drew Adams explained, “[they] are working hard…to get people to pursue and purchase the shirts.” He further explained that they are “painting walls, putting racks up, and stuff like that.” The school store is going to benefit both students in the school and any students who plan to indulge in the marketing pathway. Unfortunately, Drew will be finished with the marketing pathway by the end of this school year. Though Drew is “not excited to [leave] this class,” he is, “excited to see everybody else [take marketing]. Younger ones come up and try to pursue and bring the store back up.”
Another marketing member, Victoria Raphael, is “going around to each class pitching t-shirt ideas [and] pitching to teachers what they can do to [promote] the t-shirt.” Victoria mentioned, “[they are] also doing a soft launch in May where [they] invite people who sponsor [them] with the materials to see the store and where their money went.” Victoria and the rest of marketing members have put a lot of time and effort into the school store these previous months. Though she is excited, Victoria is having mixed feelings as September closes. She expressed she is “scared but… excited for people to see our work and what we’ve been doing all year.” To kick off the school store, the marketing class took steps to the best t-shirt design yet. They brainstormed a number of t-shirt designs, and then collectively settled on a great design. Drew and Victoria both mentioned that students have two options of fabric, bella and Gildan, they can choose from for their t-shirt. Both marketing members suggested the bella fabric other than the Gildan because it “is a little softer,” Victoria expressed, along with Drew saying, “[bella provides] real soft [and] light comfort.” Both the marketing class and WG are excited for the first ever official school store!
