Importance of the EOC’s
The EOC’s (End of Course) is a test where students are given questions about the certain class they are in and what they learned throughout the semester. The classes that take the test are academic core classes, not elective classes. Every student at WGHS has to take the EOC’s. Georgia requires every school to take these tests so they could get an understanding of students' knowledge on the classes and feedback for teachers. What’s the hardest EOC? The EOC’s are not an easy test. A lot of people have their own opinions on which EOC is the hardest. Kaden Studdard (9th) said, “I have only taken two EOC’s, but I thought the Biology test was harder.” Biology is a test usually 9th graders have to take and also one of the first EOC’s, so you could imagine why students struggle more on these tests than others. Josue Pleitez (12th) said “I thought they were all pretty easy , but if I had to choose which one was the hardest it would probably be the American Lit. test. The test is two days long and you have to write an essay which took a while for me to finish.” The American Literature EOC is the longest test out of all the EOC’s, and it can be exhausting. How would students change the test? A majority of students do not like the idea of the EOC’s or how long they take. Kaden Studdard exclaims, “I would put less questions in the EOC, 30 questions at most.” Students think the tests are too long and should not have to take a whole class period or more to finish. Some people finish earlier than others, while others take the whole time they are given to finish. I think everyone can agree that if there were less questions it would be easier and not take as long to finish. EOC testing days The American Literature EOC will be the first test on Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 9th. Next will be the Algebra test on Friday, May 10th. After the weekend passes by there will be the U.S. history test on Monday, May 13th. Lastly, The biology test will be on Tuesday, May 14th. WGHS hopes the best for students who are going to take the EOC’s. Students will use the knowledge they learned throughout the semester to pass these tests. Students make sure you are quiet when you pass the testing halls and good luck to everyone taking the EOC’s. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
