After the best season in program history, via MaxPreps, the team looks to bounce back this fall season. Although the roster graduated some talent, they retained most of their roster from last season.
Varsity starter, Kayden Miller, who plays both WR and DB, answered, “I improved my route running, recognizing coverages, and man defense.” When asked about his pregame ritual, he responded with, “I like to pray. I ask Him [God] to protect me through this game.” Varsity Head Football Coach, Robert Andrews, was also interviewed about the team. When asked about who he thought the most improved player was, he responded with, “It’s tough. A guy I'm impressed with is Emery Langston. He’s developed each year and I’m excited to see what he does.” Afterwards, he compared this years and last year’s teams. He said, “We are going to be much younger. We had a lot of seniors last year. I think we have a lot of talent on this team, but it’s inexperienced. In the first couple of weeks, if we grow through the experience, we have the potential to be great this year.” The Warriors look to test themselves and their young talent on August 18th at 7:30PM.

Sophomore Madison Whitley was interviewed. She stated her traditions, “When I put my hair in braids, I hit better.” The girls had a great summer, but when asked, Madison stated the difficult parts, “The heat and conditioning was challenging. I know it was hard. It was all worth it because we’ve got a great team and we can really make it far.” The varsity softball team has had an unexpected start with one win and two close losses, so they need your support on Tuesday afternoon against Chestatee at home.
