Now, I’m sure every FNaF fan around is aware of Help Wanted 2’s upcoming release, the end of this week, actually. But in the meantime, why don’t we tide ourselves over with a good reason to revisit the old FNaF games?
FNaF CN is a mini-series of custom night mods for the FNaF games made using Clickteam Studio created by Shooter25 on GameJolt. Their only goal is bringing up a new challenge to the original FNaF games, but to also make them more fun in the process, and I think they succeed in that regard. I’ll go over FNaF 1, 2, and 3 in this article. FNaF 1 CN is what it implies, it’s a custom night mod of the original Five Nights at Freddy’s! You may ask, “But FNaF 1 already has a custom night!” and while that is true, this is a lot better. FNaF 1 CN changes around the mechanics of everything besides Freddy, making the game a lot more fun. Foxy has to be watched to be pushed back, or else he’ll drain 10% power when hitting your door. Chica has to have a light held on her for her to go away, and Bonnie is a lot like Freddy but a second time. There are also new characters, such as the Phone Guy and Golden Freddy. The Phone Guy calls the protag occasionally, draining power, so the player will need to hang up using the cameras. Golden Freddy is essentially Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear in UCN. There are also challenges to play, fun! FNaF 2 CN is probably one of my favorites, as it gives the mechanics of FNaF 2, which I find to be very lackluster and in need of change, some much needed variety. All the withereds have to be stopped via the cameras, making good utilization of the camera light. Foxy is a different-ish cause, as he has to be stopped using the hallway before the cameras. He’ll show up in the hallway, then move to parts and service for a final shine. Toy Freddy also now requires you to put your mask on before he gets in. Mangle requires you to stare him down before she gets to your office, they perform like Foxy in FNaF 1 CN, minus the power drain. They’ll just kill you. JJ is also featured here, she’s like Balloon Boy, only she takes your mask. The Marionette also had a unique change, making it so that they occasionally require you to find them 3 times in cameras 1-8. FNaF 3 CN is what I think FNaF 3 should’ve done with Springtrap. Springtrap destroys a vent seal if he goes there two times in a row, so it’s crucial to change the location you hold him at so he doesn’t break through the vents. All the Phantoms have changed mechanics too, Foxy will be able to show up on both sides of the office, Chica needs you to find her cupcake, Freddy requires you to play a sound lure, Mangle wants you to look at him, Marionette requires you to keep one of the two monitors up, Balloon Boy lingers on the camera for longer. The Phantoms can also kill you now! You have an insanity meter that either rises gradually with Mangle’s presence, or goes up with each animatronic jump-scare. Of course, that isn’t all these have in store. I’m not gonna twiddle on this part for long, but each custom night mod features a hard mode. What does hard mode add? Changes to the mechanics that make the game a lot more difficult, such as The Marionette requiring you to find them on all 8 cameras, and Phantom Mangle draining sanity instantly. It’s awesome. Generally, these are all amazing mods, but FNaF 1-SL requires you to have the games bought. FFPS CN and UCN Recode don’t need you to have the games bought, as they are free. (On PC, anyway.) Anywhoo, peace, have a good Christmas. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
