Hopping on the Trends at WGHS

Most teenagers’ lives revolve around trends, and things that are popular. For instance, a majority of WGHS students say that Stanley cups are trending right now. Stanleys have been around for a few months now. There are hundreds of different colors that you can get from Stanley, and they hold water fairly well. Trends also introduce new varieties of things that you might not have known beforehand. 

Ninth grader Brooke Matthews says, “The Stanley cups or Jordans is something that is trending right now.” Shoes are also a big thing in high school. In some high school students' lives, shoes are a really big part of their life. Ninth grader Amelia Arledge says, “Uggs are pretty popular right now,” which is another shoe brand that is going viral right now. 

Kanye West just recently released a new album, and one of his new songs is pretty popular around WGHS. The song name is “Carnival” by Y$, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich the Kid, and Playboi Carti. Ninth grader Kirsten Klaes states, “I like the song 'Carnival', and it's trending right now.” Ninth grader Chloe Deems also says, “Carnival is a good song.” As you can see, out of all the songs in the world a lot of students are enjoying this song right now.

If you asked someone 2 weeks from now, the answer would most likely be different. A trend doesn't stay around longer than a few months, or even a week until there's something else that is trending.
