‘The Summer I turned Pretty’ season 2 came out Jul 14, 2023. Ansleigh Hester, previous member of VIRIDIAN Entertainment, shares her hot take on this season. Hester said, “... I love this new season better than the first season ‘cause the first season was super cringe.” She continues, “... I love the drama and everything is just insane.”

“I don't know. [If they make a season three], I have mixed emotions ‘cause the end [threw] me for a loop; I wasn't expecting it to go the way that it went.” 

She continued, “You have to stick around to the last episode ‘cause you think she's gonna get with one person, and then she totally just 180s. She was just playing with their feelings for real.” 

On the show as a whole, she says, “I don't know, like new shows these days are kind of a hit or miss.” She continued, “The show is good I guess, I give it like a 7.5 out of 10, but it could be better, but I say compared to other shows I've watched, it's not as good, but by itself it's good.” 

She started watching in the first place because “I read the first book and then I watched the first season because of the book. Then I also heard a bunch of stuff on TikTok and Amazon Prime.” 

The season finale is coming out Friday, Aug 18, 2023 on Amazon Prime.
