The dormant feud against Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez has been reignited by alleged rumors on TikTok.

The Hailey and Selena feud started in 2018 when Hailey and Justin Bieber announced their engagement just 2 months after Justin publicly ended things with Selena Gomez. Fans of the relationship were stunned- a few months before the wedding, paparazzi snapped shots of Selena and Justin together. The married couple got a lot of backlash after the wedding leading “Jelena” fans to not be so happy for Justin Beiber.

​Hailey and Justin were seen together in 2014, during New Years while he and Selena were still together. A lot of evidence has come together on social media to prove that Hailey allegedly stalked Justin and Selena way before they started hanging out. Along with Hailey being a “mean girl” (commonly expressed on TikTok). A video circling around on TikTok shows Hailey insulting Selena’s promo picture for her successful makeup line, Rare Beauty. 

In early January, photos of Selena went viral. Paparazzi published pictures of her in a bikini climbing out of a pool. Shortly after, people started body shaming her. In 2015, famous pop star opened up about her health after being diagnosed with Lupus. Causing her to gain weight due to new medication. Ever since, she has been struggling with her body image.

A couple days after her bikini picture, Hailey Beiber posted a TikTok with the sound “I'm not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right.” People were quick to assume that the TikTok was directed to the situation with Selena.

​The latest dilemma was when Selena posted an Instagram story showing off her laminated eyebrows on a video and joking that they weren’t supposed to turn out that way. Hours later, Kylie Jenner posted her own Instagram story. The first photo was a picture of her with the text “this was an accident??”. On the second story, she was on facetime with Hailey and the two had their cameras close to their eyebrows.

This led to fans of Selena turning against Kylie and Hailey. Many people have been replacing all of their Kylie Cosmetics and Rhode Skin with Rare Beauty. 

Justin Bieber hasn’t said anything about the conundrum; instead people have been comparing both relationships, posting TikToks of how Justin was polite and respectful towards Selena and how rude he acts with Hailey. 

Some hope that “Jalena”, Selena and Justin’s relationship nickname, will get back together and he leaves Hailey. While others are making TikToks about how fans need to leave everyone alone. 

Back at the Grove, a total of 230 students and teachers were asked if they were team Selena or team Hailey. While some did not know of the drama, and others only knew of Selena and not Hailey, team Selena got a total of 200 votes, while team Hailey a total of 12.

​Vouching for Hailey, English teacher, Mr. Mozley put his thoughts on the viral situation. “I’m all about marriage, " Mozley said, “he’s (Justin) married to Hailey, so people should stop bringing Selena into their marriage.”
