Lady Warriors Tennis Team Win Against Apalachee

On February 13, 2024 the Walnut Grove Varsity Girls Tennis team faced off and won against Apalachee. The game was held at Walnut Grove High School at 4:00 PM.

On February 13, 2024 the Walnut Grove Varsity Girls Tennis team faced off and won against Apalachee. The game was held at Walnut Grove High School at 4:00 PM.


Recap vs. Apalachee
The Lady Warriors who played against Apalachee were, Rebecca Jenkins, Arynn Clayton, and Rian Crowley. Arynn and Rian played first in the game. Both of them unfortunately lost their first matches. However, Arynn ended up coming back and winning her next matches with a score of 8-3. This series of wins bring the girls overall win-loss ratio to 1-1. 

Rian Crowley
Senior Rian Crowley was interviewed about the game vs. Apalachee. She says it was “her worst game.” She finished the match with a score of 1-8, unfortunately she was the 1. To better herself, she said, “...I have a game today so I’m excited. I’m in a better headspace today. I [also] did some adjusting on my shot too, so hopefully I’m [going to do] pretty good.” When asked about her pre-game, she said, “Well we always warm up for half an hour and just hit around. I talk to coach before the game and make sure we’re all on the same page.”

The Girls play again on February 15th at Cherokee Bluff. The match is supposed to start at 4:00 PM. We wish each and every member good luck on this next game.
