WGHS VIRIDIAN News staffer, Makenzee Kelley, tries the new WNB Factory in Monroe.
by Makenzee Kelley
WNB Factory has been a favorite to many Georgia residents since its opening in Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. In the past couple of decades, the restaurant has spread to Alabama, Virginia, Texas, and even Ohio.
WNB Factory is known for its wings and burgers, but they offer many other food choices such as fried rice, sandwiches, cheesesteaks, salads, and even smoothies and shakes. The new restaurant is definitely in competition with some other local wings and burger places, such as Broad Street Tavern and Grill, Spice Wings, RJ’s Soul Foods and More, Just Wings of Georgia, and many other delicious restaurants. Can WNB Factory beat the competition for best wings and burgers, or will they end up shutting down like many companies these past few years? Can WNB Factory beat the competition for best wings and burgers, or will they end up shutting down like many companies these past few years? Makenzee's Take
I went to the new restaurant with a few of my friends (who don't go to this school). I would say the restaurant is a pretty good place. I would definitely go back. I grew up with Spice Wings because my step dad loved getting spicy wings, so WNB Factory is a bittersweet welcome.
I ordered the classic Cheese Steakburger with fries and a small strawberry banana smoothie. I would honestly rate it a 9/10. For a restaurant that specializes in multiple things, it can definitely keep up with each item on the menu. The burger reminded me of Freddy’s mixed with Five Guys, both restaurants that I also like. And the smoothie was really sweet and refreshing after a long day with friends. Hailey's Take
