Before the Ceremony
WGHS students that have received an invitation to the ceremony, have worked diligently throughout the year to keep their grades up. In a reward, the students have been offered to be in this program for their hard work and good grades. Eleventh grader Molli Burdett states, “I had to really get my grades up. You have to have good grades to get into it, then to apply I had to write an essay talking about myself and why I should be in the program.” After the Ceremony The students in this program have worked hard getting to this point. A lot of the students were nervous beforehand, but in reality it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. Tenth grader Emma Sears says, “It was really good, I wasn't anxious like I thought I would be.” National Honor Society members actually stated that they had a fun time. lj90 Hard Work Pays Off Each and everyone of the members went through the struggle of keeping their grades up. If you don't have good grades, you cannot participate in the program.
