Player Profile: Anna Kate Franklin

Walnut Grove senior athlete, Anna Kate Franklin, is the virtue of talent  to all of her peers.

Walnut Grove senior athlete, Anna Kate Franklin, is the virtue of talent to all of her peers. Anna is a prime example of a successful, talented, and purposeful student athlete. Although she is very humble about her playing abilities, after 4 progressive years at Walnut Grove, Anna is making her way out with a bang, and everyone sees it. 

After three years of hard work on the flag football field, Anna has found herself with college offers for the upcoming sport. “I got lucky when coaches came to me, instead of me putting myself out there,” Anna explains, as originally the coaches were coming to scout other players. Once the coaches saw Anna’s lion-like instinct on the field, they knew they had to have her. These offers have given her the opportunity to keep working and continue playing at a higher level.

“The idea of playing in college is definitely appealing, but I'm not sure how well it would fit my goals for the future. Although I am definitely considering a few schools currently for me to play sports,” Anna explains. Although Anna is a very inspiring athlete, the ability to continue your athletic career in college requires some great sacrifice, that Anna is still deciding on. Even if Anna decides to not continue her athletic career, she will always be remembered as a true Warrior Athlete here at The Grove, and we could not be more proud of her. 

We encourage all of our student athletes to push themselves to be like Anna, because you never know what your future could hold.
