Emadd Howard is a Junior at Walnut Grove High School and wears #2 for the Warriors Varsity football team. His positions for the team are running back and cornerback. Currently, he is in the top 158 in all of Georgia and top 34 in Division AAAA. Emadd has a total average of 251 yards for the three games he has played this year (MaxPreps).
With all these great stats, him and the team must put in a lot of effort into practice. When asked how he gets prepared for games, he stated, “Going 100% in the weight room and on the field every day. Just practicing so we can be ready for Friday.” The team must also start early in the afternoon at 3PM, but “[they] go down to the field and wait for all the younger guys... the older guys, {they] get down to the field first.” Emadd has been playing football since the 6th grade and when asked if he wishes to continue playing football, he responded with, “I plan on going to college and trying to play at a high level.” He first got into football when he watched Odell Beckham, Jr play. “I saw how good he was. I didn’t know how to play the sport fully, but I learned and I started wanting to play because of him.” He does not have a favorite NFL team, but he does have a favorite college football team, which is Alabama. Emadd has also been to a few Alabama games, he also goes “to some high school games.” Emadd shows love and dedication towards football, and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him.
