Arynn’s Picks
Lacrosse Lacrosse is a very competitive sport and is played in many different places across the world. Now in Georgia, Lacrosse isn’t really that popular, but I do think that it could possibly be a great addition to Walnut Grove High School. I feel like Lacrosse is one of those sports that people could pick up and run with it for the rest of their life. Also, I am sure that many people would be interested in playing it since a lot of popular movies and shows portray the sport as being exciting and action packed. I personally, would try out for the Lacrosse team if given the chance, this being said I feel like it would be an easy sport to add to high school schedules since it is played in the spring. Table Tennis Table Tennis is genuinely such a fun sport to play, and for that reason, I know a lot of the kids at our school would enjoy it. Though, a lot of people may say that since you can’t really go to college for it, that doesn’t mean it won’t be a great extracurricular activity for students who hate too much physical activity. Much like Lacrosse, I feel like table tennis is easy to pick up, though as you get to higher levers, it would be more of a challenge. It would be a great chance for high schools to get students out the house and have some fun. Field Hockey Field Hockey is a lot like Lacrosse, but it involves a ball on the ground instead of being carried. To do field hockey, you’d have to be incredibly athletic and agile. Many of the students at Walnut Grove play spring sports, and don’t have the chance to play two sports for that reason, this includes soccer players, track and field, tennis, and baseball. I really and truly believe that these players would enjoy a challenging sport such as field hockey, and it’d also be a change of pace/scenery. Adding these sports to WGHS just opens it to different varieties of student athletes.

Boys’ Volleyball Boys’ Volleyball would be a great addition to Walnut Grove’s extracurricular activities. Volleyball is a competitive sport. It is fast-paced, requires teamwork, and improves hand eye coordination. It’s also a fun way to make new friends and become a part of a competitive team. Water Polo Water polo is an awesome sport because it combines swimming and teamwork. It is a very challenging and exciting sport that improves endurance, strength, and strategic thinking. Plus, splashing around in the water with friends is very engaging and fun. Wheelchair Sports Wheelchair sports are great because they provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in athletic activities, promoting inclusivity and empowerment. It’s amazing to see the talent of wheelchair athletes in action. The Blog Tags Widget will appear here on the published site.
