Student Profile: Getting to know Amelia May

This year at WGHS we get to know Amelia May and her many interests one question at a time.

Sophomore, Amelia May starts off with saying, “I love art. I’m actually in art right now. And we’re basically just doing shading... I like hanging out with people in general, hanging out with friends, hanging out with friends of friends, just being social all the time.”

“Personal achievements? When I finish a [art] piece I’m working on, or if I help people with other things, I’m a really big people pleaser."

Ameila later shared her WGHS experience, "It’s been really nice; 9th grade was a little hard. When you’re a 9th grader, you’re getting used to a new school and to people who are older than you. But my sophomore year has been really chill, and seeing all the freshmen freak out about where they’re going has been kind of adorable. Because I remember being like that."

There are lots of different things that Amelia can tell you, "I like savory and salty food, but occasionally I do bitter-sweet, like dark chocolate, stuff like that.” Talking about more things Amelia likes, “Well, I love art, but out of the general classes that I have right now other than art, I really like my U.S. history class with Mrs. Forsyth."

Amelia May plans on pursuing soccer, so we at WGHS look forward to seeing her on the field and her artwork in the halls.
