The new Sweetberry Bowls restaurant in downtown Monroe is a cute and healthy place- it’s great for a snack, smoothie, or even a meal!

There are a wide variety of bowls, poke bowls, wraps, smoothies and salads. You can build your own bowls and choose what blend you want. There is an Acai blend which contains acai and banana. Pitaya blend that includes pitaya (dragon fruit), banana, pineapple, Coconut blend which is made up of coconut meat, banana, and agave, and lastly Super Green blend is composed of pineapple, banana, kale, spinach. They all contain coconut milk, except the Acai blend which consists of apple juice instead. You can replace the coconut milk with other kinds of milks like oat and almond.

I got the Coco Sweet Coconut bowl, it had granola on top of the blend, and strawberries and bananas on top of the granola . It was then topped with a Nutella drizzle. It was delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it, and after I was done, I wanted more. You can taste the coconut, but the strawberries and banana with the granola is a very smart choice of flavor because they all go well together. The Nutella was an amazing addition as well that just put everything together. All bowls are priced at $14.00.

I also got the Chocolate Dream smoothie, which had chocolate protein, banana, peanut butter, and coconut milk. The peanut butter was very prominent along with the coconut milk and banana, which gave it a bland or chalky taste. It was good for the first couple of sips, but it was very thick and I couldn’t finish it. The smoothies are all priced at $9.50.  I didn’t try the poke bowls, salads, or wraps, but they all looked tasty.

I did try the different kinds of blends and my favorite was the Super Green blend. You can taste some of the kale, but the pineapple and banana definitely override. Everything but the wraps and poke bowls are vegan and gluten free, but the restaurant is really cute, the smoothies and food are tasty and they aren’t too badly priced for the amount they give you. You can also get other things like a fruit bowl, or drinks like soda, different kinds of kombucha as well as water. These drinks are priced around $1-$5. I strongly recommend this place if you want a calm and peaceful atmosphere to eat, relax, or even do school work in.
