Walnut Grove Superb in Track Regionals

The Walnut Grove track team performed exceptionally well in the Track Regional meet on April 16th, 2024. Boys Track team was declared Region Champs! The event was held at North Oconee High School in Bogart, Ga.

Player Spotlight: Brent Chay

Brent Chay did well in the region championship meet. He placed top two in all events and helped the Boys 4x100 Meter Relay team get first place. 

Chay explains his performance on the track, "Really I wasn’t expecting to catch him as much as I did. I was just like halfway there, I was just like I gotta catch.” For pregame, he says, “I just get stretched and do a couple runs (around the track) just to get loose and get ready for what I’m about to run or do.”

Walnut Grove is very proud of the track team’s amazing performance. We hope that they can keep going even further beyond.
