NBA Playoffs: Warriors vs. Lakers (Op/Ed)

As some of you may know the Lakers and the Warriors have played each other and we all know the big rivalry between Steph Curry and Lebron James over the past years.

As some of you may know the Lakers and the Warriors have played each other and we all know the big rivalry between Steph Curry and Lebron James over the past years. It is sad to see that their rivalry is coming close to an end and that this could probably be the last one. 

​Over the past years Steph Curry and Lebron James have faced each other in NBA finals many times. They have gone back and forth beating each other and have made history. Lebron and Curry have faced each other many many times. They have faced off 43 times overall, 20 games in the regular season, 22 in the playoffs. While Curry holds a 15-7 edge in the postseason, the regular season series is even at 10-10. This series is a big one because we haven't seen Lebron vs Curry in the play-offs when it is an important game in a long time. The Warriors advanced from the first round of the playoffs and so did the Lakers.

They went against each other and we got to see another shocking result from this series. The Lakers won the first 2 games, then the Warriors came and won one, then the Lakers won another one. All the Lakers needed was one more game to win and then advance, but the Warriors won a game so the series was 3-2 with the Lakers leading. The Warriors needed one game to tie it up or they would be eliminated.

This game made me really nervous because my favorite team is the Warriors and if they lost they would be eliminated. The Lakers blew out the Warriors by 21 points, and the Lakers went on to advance while the Warriors were eliminated. Stephen Curry had a total of 32 points which is really good. Lebron James had a total of 30 points which is also pretty good.

​It was fun to see the Warriors go against the Lakers and to see Curry vs lebron. Maybe it was the last game they played against each other. These players are close to retiring and we may never get to see them play each other again. The Lakers went on to go against the Denver Nuggets, and whoever wins between them advances to the NBA finals.
