WGHS Marching Band Christmas Parade

Walnut Grove High School Warriors Marching Band played in Downtown Monroe on December 7, 2023 at the Monroe Christmas Parade.

​The Walnut Grove Warriors Marching Band played at the Downtown Monroe Christmas Parade. This event took place on Thursday December 7th, 2023. However, the Warriors did not play alone as they had a joint performance with Monroe HS and Loganville HS in the Monroe Christmas Parade. 

With this being the last event of the semester for Marching Band Warriors, they had a lot to prepare for. One member, sophomore Jackson Carter, prepared by memorizing all the music the band practiced in class. Another member, sophomore Jordan Roberts, got prepared by “Practicing the cheers” they were given. When Jordan was asked what her favorite part of the event was, she responded, “Definitely hanging out with the other bands beforehand.”

Jacob Rowe, another sophomore part of the Warriors Marching Band, agrees with this stating his favorite part of the event was “getting to interact with all the other students.” When asked how it felt playing alongside MAHS and LHS, Jackson stated, “I have a couple of friends in Loganville and it’s nice to see them every so often.” 

The WGHS Warriors Marching Band’s semester is coming to an end and will all wish them well for more years of amazing performances to come.
